Team
With a highly qualified team and project partners Delta-H have been serving a number of sectors with many components of the
hydrogeology realm.
Dr. Martin Holland
Principal
Hydrogeologist/Modeller
Martin has more than 15 years of
experience in the field of
hydrogeology, ranging from
resource evaluation, flow
conceptualisation, source
apportionment, groundwater
liability assessment as well as
wellfield management plans. He
also conducted numerous
groundwater related -
environmental impact, -feasibility
and -water supply studies for the
mining industry.
Prof. Christoph
König
Lead Modelling Team
Christoph has more than 30
years of experience in numerical
modelling of groundwater flow,
specialising in mass transport,
multi component-, seepage
water, multi phase- and fissure
flow. Christoph lectures since
1992 at the Ruhr-Universität
Bochum, Germany. He developed
over the last 28 years the
program system SPRING and is
the director of delta h
Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH
Germany and GKW
Ingenieurgesellschaft.
Prof. Kai T Witthüser
Principal
Geochemist/Modeller
Kai has more than 23 years of
experience in hydrogeology,
specialising in environmental
impact assessments,
hydrogeological and geochemical
modelling. He is Associated
Professor at the Institute for
Groundwater Studies, University
of the Free State since 2009.
Countries of work experience
include Austria, Benin,
Democratic Republic of Congo,
Denmark, Germany, India, Israel,
Morocco, Namibia, Slovenia,
South Africa and Tanzania.
Mr. Theo Rossouw
Senior Hydrogeologist
Theo obtained his MSc
Engineering and Environmental
Geology degree from the
University of Pretoria in 2009. He
is currently a hydrogeologist with
more than 10 years of experience
focused primarily on the mining
industry in South Africa and
Africa, including groundwater
modelling, geochemical
assessments, project
management and risk
assessments as well as
geotechnical investigations.
Ms. Josepha Zielke-
Olivier
Senior Hydrogeologist
Josepha Zielke-Olivier has more
than six years of experience in
the field of hydrogeology, ranging
from groundwater exploration to
geochemical assessments and
groundwater-related mining
aspects. She is currently
conducting PhD research on the
contaminant distribution in a
fractured aquifer system along a
graben including an aquifer
vulnerability assessment based
on statistical models.
